BZ Media LLC, the organizer of the SPTechCon series of conferences has announced this year’s Spring event will include “Office 365 DevCamp”. The venue for this event will be Austin, TX. This will be the 11th instance in the SPTechCon series, which will be held from February 8, through February 11, 2015.
Readers interested in learning more about this late addition to the SPTechCon lineup of technical sessions can learn more by visiting the webpage for the entire Spring, 2015 SPTechCon event.
The DevCamp will be led by Scot Hillier, a Microsoft SharePoint MVP. More information about the course can be found on the SPTechCon Austin 2015 Tutorials webpage published by BZ Media.
I am personally very interested in this tutorial set. As regular readers of this blog will note, I have published a number of posts to this blog on the SharePoint 2013 App Model. Most recently, these posts have presented my impressions of a 5.5 hour set of video training offered on Microsoft’s own Channel 9 web site. I think the App Model is very important for a number of reasons, which I will not touch on here, since I have already expressed these points, at length, in other posts to the blog.
So anyone scheduled to attend the SPTechCon Austin Conference with a similar interest in the SharePoint App Model, should sign up as quickly as possible for this specific course. BZ Media is limiting attendance to the first 50 registrants.
I will not be attending the course, but do plan on continuing to review, in detail, each of the 6 video tutorials included in the set I have been watching, which is published on MSDN Channel 9. The set is led by Steve Walker and Vesa Juvonen, who are two Senior program managers at Microsoft.
But I will be attending SPTechCon Austin, along with Asif Rehmani, the CEO of VisualSP® and Kari Bennett, who is our Director of Marketing. So if you are planning on attending the conference, please let me know so we can schedule a time to meet up.
